Sfumato collects nothing. It sends nothing. It has no network access of any kind, and it works with your iPhone in airplane mode.
Data we collect
None.
Sfumato has no account system, no sign-in, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifier and no telemetry. We do not know that you installed the app, we do not know that you used it, and we have no way of finding out.
Your photos and videos
Everything happens on your device.
When you import a video or a photo, it is read from your photo library, face detection and blurring run entirely on your iPhone using Apple's on-device Vision framework, and the result is written back to your photo library as a new file.
Your original is never modified and never deleted. Nothing is ever uploaded, copied off the device, or shared with us or with anyone else.
Exported photos are stripped of their metadata: no capture date, no location, no device model, no software tag. Only the color profile and the orientation are preserved.
Permissions the app requests
- Photo library — add: so the blurred video or photo can be saved back to your library. This is the only permission Sfumato declares.
Reading a media file happens through the system picker, which hands the app only the item you chose. Sfumato never browses your library.
Third parties
There are none. Sfumato contains no third-party SDKs, no external dependencies and no remote code. It uses only frameworks provided by Apple as part of iOS.
Children
Sfumato does not collect data from anyone, children included.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new date at the top.
